Let’s say: we did the thing.
The Grand Opening of the Berkshire Carousel wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of what happens when art, heart, and hustle come together. After years of dreaming, building, and believing, the curtain finally lifted, and it did not disappoint. Families arrived in droves, artists came to see their work in motion, and longtime supporters glowed with pride. The energy? Electric.
Every detail from the hand-painted horses to the sweeping murals told a story. And yes, each one has its unique story to tell. You could feel the pride in the air. Parents pointed out their child’s favorite horse. Neighbors shared memories of volunteering back when this was just an idea. And the music brought it all together, adding to the joy of seeing the Berkshire Carousel come to life again, just in time for the high season when the Berkshires’ annual and new visitors hit the trails here for fun. Now, they have the Berkshire Carousel to add to their visit in the Berkshires.
But this wasn’t just about riding a carousel. It was about being part of something handcrafted by and for the community. This grand opening felt more like a love letter to the Berkshires, honoring our past and spinning us toward the future.
We’re excited to welcome even more riders during Pittsfield’s annual July 4th parade in Downtown Pittsfield. Remember, the Berkshire Carousel is located at 50 Center Street, near West and North Street. Come for a ride soon.
Happy trails await!
