The Berkshire Carousel

Our Plan Continues...

The Berkshire Carousel red and white building with our golden carousel horses adorning

the corners greeting riders.

The amusement ride is now built and located at the corner of South Church and Center

streets in Pittsfield, MA.

The main structure housing the merry-go-round is now built called phase 1,  framed by

the steel of the former pavilion from the Ponterril YMCA summer camp.  The board of

directors of the Pittsfield Family YMCA voted to donate the pavilion,  which hasn't been

used for over a decade. Temporary sheds have been added to the property to serve as

our Gift Shop and Concession Stands until we can raise the monies to begin phase 2 & 3

of our building.

The Berkshire Carousel plan will require at least 10,000 square feet for our main

carousel, administrative offices, educational workshop spaces, art and exhibition space,

functional carving workshop, functional painting workshop, and a restoration shop to fix

or repair broken and older vintage horses.

In addition there will be event space available for parties, special events, meetings,

workshops, gift shop and concessions. Once up and running, the attraction will provide

100,000 rides in the first year of operation.

Any individual, group, or organization may contribute to  our Legacy Building Campaign. All contributions will  be honored and proudly displayed on the permanent Giving Tree Wall at The Berkshire Carousel pavilion.  We are Building our Legacy.... one brick at a time.
